John Speed (1552-1629) was a renowned English cartographer who published an atlas called " The Theatre of the Empire of Great Britaine".
His maps themselves were of high quality and were made using up-to-date sources available, so they gained a reputaion for being amongst the best county maps - attractive and decorative.
We've taken the county maps from the early 1600's and created a range of historical county map jigsaw puzzles.
